Commitment - A Poem

I told you I was writing alot, but not posting. This poem may have appeared elsewhere as it was marked completed in my journal. But I suspect, it was simply filed away. So I share it here with you.

Commitment

We are caught on the edge of a swirl

Things rush by us

Never to land and always moving

We are pushed to stay where we are

or to relax and fall into a stupor

Commitment means letting go of all that and trusting!

I have a commitment where once there was a void

I built it with broken dreams,

and broken promises

and wishful thinking

and many other things.

One by one as my commitment grew,

the broken things fell by the wayside

and now, they no longer exist

But Commitment Does!

TRUST!!
